Fendi:
When Paper Becomes Fashion

Let’s dive into a realm of fantasy and innovation, where ancient traditions blend with the boldest modernity.
Who would have imagined that recycling precious Japanese paper would lead to new frontiers in fashion? Fendi presented us with a daring challenge: creating shoes with uppers made of paper. It seemed like an almost impossible quest, but with ingenuity and determination we solved what at first looked like an impossible puzzle.
We combined paper with tearproof nylon fabric padded with polyesther for durability and structure, but the real stroke of genius was soaking paper in a polyurethanic resin to enhance wear and stain resistance. Further treatment with a nanotech chemical solution made the paper water-resistant and virtually indestructible.
This project has proven that every challenge, no matter how daunting it is, can turn into a success if you combine experience, passion, and a touch of daring creativity.
